HOW YOU CAN HELP

VOLUNTEERING

Animal Welfare League NSW values greatly the effort and dedication of our volunteers. Our volunteers support our Branch network and our 2 animal shelters by giving freely of their time. Our Branches work under the umbrella of AWL's rules, as determined by our Board of Directors and Head Office.

Within the framework, our 14 state-wide branches raise revenue to to carry out the plans that they have to advance Animal Welfare in their districts. some Branches undertake the Subsidised Desexing Program, offering subsidised desexing for owners who are having difficulty covering the cost of having their pets sterilized. Others have the objective of rehoming animals after they have ensured they have been checked by a vet, are microchipped, desexed, vaccinated and wormed. Some Branches have their membership to carry out both functions.

How you can become a volunteer with AWL

Animal Welfare League NSW offers a choice of experiences and the unique experience of caring for animals, improving their quality of life. Hands on experience with animals is available at our 2 shelters at West Hoxton or Ingleside or those Branches that care for animals.

Other Branches need assistance in raising funds for our Subsidised Desexing Program or other animal welfare projects in the area.
